Election Day Weather Update: the Fog Code Holds for Tuesday, the High Is Revised to 70.6, and Monday Opens Overcast (Washington Sentinel News)

The last full feed of Sunday night changed the edges of election week without changing its shape. The station's live weather feed read 49.2 degrees and overcast late Sunday, feeling like 44.8, at the end of a day that topped out at 65.3 - a cloudier, cooler close than the clear 51.4 the feed carried earlier in the evening. Monday keeps an overcast code from start to finish: a high of 66.8, an overnight low revised to 44.7, and a precipitation chance of 3 percent.

Election Day's forecast moved in both directions at once. Tuesday still carries the fog code for its early hours - the part the earliest voters and poll workers will meet - but the high behind the fog is now 70.6, revised down from 71.3, while the day's low rose to 46.3 from 44.1 and the precipitation chance ticked up to 3 percent. Wednesday remains the week's warmest day, overcast at 74.1 with a low of 56.7 and rain chances of just 2 percent.

The unsettled end of the week got a little less unsettled in the late feed. Thursday still carries a rain-shower code at 64.8 degrees with a low of 62.1, but its precipitation chance eased to 45 percent; Friday's overcast 67.8 now carries a 47 percent chance, down from the week's-high 51 the evening feed showed; and Saturday turns clear and cooler at 59.4, with rain chances down to 21 percent.
