Virginia Early Voting Is Closed, and Election Day Is Tuesday With Polls Open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In-person early voting in Virginia ended Saturday, October 31. For voters in Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax County who have not yet cast a ballot, the next and last chance is Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, at their assigned precinct.

Early voting is over in Virginia. In-person early voting, which began on September 18, closed on Saturday, October 31, and there is no Sunday or Monday voting in the commonwealth. Voters in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County and across Northern Virginia who have not yet voted now wait for Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
On Election Day, polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone in line by 7 p.m. may still vote. Unlike early voting, which could be done at a registrar's office or satellite site, Election Day voting must happen at the voter's assigned precinct. Virginia law requires voters to show an acceptable form of identification at the polls; voters without accepted ID have options that include signing an ID confirmation statement or voting a provisional ballot, according to local registrars.
Registration is still possible. The advance registration deadline was Friday, October 23, but Virginians can register in person through Election Day and vote a provisional ballot, which is counted separately subject to approval by the local electoral board. A mail ballot can be returned in person by 7 p.m. on Election Day, or postmarked by November 3 and received by the registrar by noon on Friday, November 6. In Alexandria, the ballot includes contests for U.S. Senate and the 8th District U.S. House seat, along with three proposed state constitutional amendments.
