Rockville Will Publish the First Progress Report on Its JEDI Strategic Plan by June
The report will detail what the city's first Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan has accomplished and what comes next. The city has committed to a plain-language report in accessible formats each spring through the plan's life, which runs through 2030.

Rockville now has a date for its first public report card on the city's Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan. The city will publish its first public progress report on the plan by June, detailing what has been accomplished and what comes next, the city said in an update carried by Mocofeed on November 1. As part of the plan, the city has committed to publishing a plain-language progress report in accessible formats each spring throughout the life of the plan, which runs through 2030.
The Mayor and Council adopted the city's first strategic plan to advance justice, equity, diversity and inclusion citywide on July 27. In the plan's first year, running from August through June, the city is training staff on JEDI practices, reviewing language access services and communications, deepening community engagement, and establishing structures for oversight - the work the June report will be measured against.
The five-year framework is built to ensure city services and programs are fair, accessible and welcoming to the community and staff. It establishes clear goals, measurable outcomes and accountability, along with strategies to integrate justice, equity, diversity and inclusion into city decision-making and service delivery. The plan was developed with input from the community, partners and city staff, and lays out seven priorities, including program accessibility, community engagement, staff training and language access.
